PARENTS / TEACHERS CONFERENCES

This is usually a – two – day conference organized with parents where they have opportunity of having a one – on – one meeting with the class teacher to discuss matters relating to their child’s/children’s learning and development.

PARENTS FORUM

Here, we introduce the Montessori Method of learning to our new parents and then go ahead to deliberate on other matters that concern the children, parents and the school at large. We encourage all new parents to attend this valuable and informative forum.

SHOW AND TELL

Sharing something of value with friends is a fulfilling experience. Our sharing day is every Thursday. In consideration of time, space, and fairness, we ask that the children bring only ONE item each week. This limitation also encourages them to decide on what they consider truly special.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

A birthday is a special day for all of us. Some children may wish to share a birthday treat with the class on that day. If you would like to do this, please inform the teacher ahead of time for school approval.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Agape Montessori has varieties of specially lined up activities for it’s children within and after school terms such as;

Prize Giving

EXCURSIONS

Excursions are outings to places related to themes for the term. This serves as an extension to classroom activities to further broaden the child’s knowledge of the theme looked at.

TEACHER’S APPRECIATION DAY

The members of our staff are professionals. With the exception of teacher’s appreciation day, birthday and anniversary celebrations, all other gifts (cash or kind) to any member of staff attracts severe penalties. Parents who make such offers may be asked to withdraw their children from the school.

GRADUATIONS

At completion of pre – school and primary education, a special graduation ceremony is celebrated in honor of the graduands, in attendance of family, friends and well-wishers.

SUMMER SCHOOL

Our summer school, which is open to all children, begins two weeks after end of summer term and runs for six weeks. During this period, the children engage in specially planned activities to further help their development. It is also a period where children learn some skills in a fun way. This includes, though not limited to cooking, bead making, shoe-making, arts and craft etc.
